Lure Bodies: Why Not These?

These eggs are made out of basswood. They are something different besides the cigar shaped plugs. I am thinking a lure like a Fred Arbogast Arbogaster, a Worth Flutter-Fin, or a Clark Water Scout.

By the way, I notice that no one seems to stop by here often...I will be checking in on a regular basis, as lure building seems to have taken my fancy.

Several years ago I used some wooden eggs to make some creeper lures. They worked OK, but were very difficult to weight to get the correct bouyancy for some reason.

And by the way, you are right, not too many people have been visiting this forum....including me. I have been extremely busy lately, and quite frankly, was getting tired of being the only one posting, with no responses....it was like I was talking to myself. But if you continue to contribute, I will be here more often to converse with you.

Got some wooden eggs down the shop as well , ....but never found the time to take care of them , ....not buoyant enough to make such a metal-lipped lure as shown , I guess , would sink like a brick ! Cheers, diemai
